Its secluded location, private terrace, and garden make the LAURUS House an exclusive retreat. The centerpiece of the house is the living room, where up to 30 guests can be seated at a long table. With individual tables, it can accommodate up to 35 people. Up to 12 guests can be seated in the conservatory.

The history of the LAURUS House dates back to the Middle Ages. Today’s deluxe event location was once the place where local farmers paid their natural taxes. Later, the barn was given a new purpose. What began with the cultivation of culinary herbs quickly developed into an exotic plant collection, including Mediterranean delicacies such as figs and citrus fruits – and, of course, the namesake laurel.
The LAURUS House can be booked upon request via the banquet department, which will be happy to assist with planning your event. The formats for events are extremely diverse: whether as a conference location, a romantic venue for a wedding ceremony in the private garden followed by dinner in the living room, or for an interactive cooking class. More casual formats such as a walking lunch, a festive dinner, or a barbecue on the private terrace can also be perfectly staged at this deluxe event location at Hugenpoet.
The LAURUS House features its own kitchen. This offers guests the special option of working with their own chefs or catering services. In addition, the house is not visible from the estate – guests enjoy the privilege of complete privacy.

The LAURUS House is a detached building with its own garden, terrace, and conservatory, offering seating for up to 12 guests at one table. In addition, the house features a large Gaggenau working kitchen, a living room with a small fireplace and seating for approx. 30 guests. There is an accessible restroom on the ground floor – additional ones on the first floor – a smoking lounge on the first floor, as well as access to Villa Türmchen. Two parking spaces are available directly in front of the entrance.

On the one hand, as an exhibition space or for a sales event featuring fashion or cosmetics/perfume products; on the other hand, as a temporary gallery for sculptures and paintings.

Two parking spaces can be used directly in front of the house entrance, as well as additional parking spaces in front of the forecourt.
In the living room: at 3 tables up to 30 people, at one long table max. 18 people, at individual tables up to 26 people. In the conservatory: at one table up to 12 people, at the existing round table up to 8 people.
A Sonos speaker serves as the sound system. A projector and screen are set up manually; alternatively, a Samsung Flip is available.
Guests can choose between the Hugenpoet castle kitchen or bringing in their own catering company.
Both are possible – this depends on prior arrangement and the capacity of our house. If an external catering company is commissioned by the client, the equipment should be provided by them. If the Hugenpoet kitchen is preferred, we provide dishes, cutlery, etc. From Monday to Friday, a technician is available on-site until 4:00 p.m.
At the LAURUS House, there is a curfew at 2:00 a.m., which must be observed out of consideration for guests at the castle. If Hugenpoet provides service staff, a late-night surcharge of EUR 300.00 per hour applies from 11:00 p.m. onwards.
For events at the LAURUS House involving dancing and music, booking the Villa Türmchen is mandatory. Out of consideration for other hotel guests, doors and windows must remain closed.
We would be happy to welcome you personally to view our premises for your event. Viewings are available on weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Detailed coordination takes place a few weeks before your event. We will send you an initial schedule as well as, if applicable, menu and wine suggestions, and clarify all details in a personal meeting or phone call.
a) Upon confirmation of the booking, a deposit of EUR 1,000.00 will be invoiced. 
 b) An additional deposit of 50% of the calculated invoice amount, minus the deposit already paid (see point a), will be charged 4 weeks before the event. Furthermore, a final deposit of 30%, reduced by the payments already made (points a and b), must be paid no later than 2 weeks before the event. If the estimated total invoice amount does not exceed EUR 5,000.00, the deposits specified under points a, b, and c are sufficient.
