Of particular cultural-historical value are three carved fireplaces that adorn the lobby and two salons at Hugenpoet. All of them are made of Baumberg sandstone and originate from Schloss Horst near Gelsenkirchen, which was also owned by the von Fürstenberg family from 1706 to 1988. As Schloss Horst was in danger of falling into disrepair, the fireplaces were dismantled there and reassembled at Schloss Hugenpoet.
The "Lot" fireplace in the lobby dates back to 1560 and is the smallest of the carved fireplaces. The "Cain and Abel" fireplace in Hugenpoet's fireplace room is dated to 1577. Like "Lot," it depicts an Old Testament story. With a height of four meters, the "Troy" fireplace in the Green Salon is the largest of the carved fireplaces in the castle hotel. Its reliefs depict scenes from the Battle of Troy.
