Tall tree crowns and lush greenery characterize the castle park, which was designed in the style of an English landscape garden. A sea of blossoms in spring, the ideal spot for a picnic in summer, and worth a stroll in any season: Hugenpoet Castle Park enchants its visitors with every step.
Hugenpoet Castle Park was created as part of renovations and modernizations by the von Fürstenberg family after they acquired the castle in 1831. The park was laid out between 1844 and 1872, when the castle was expanded in the Neo-Renaissance style by architects August Lange and Heinrich Theodor Freyse.
