Our Schlosshotel is located in the heart of the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region, in the middle of the Untere Kettwiger Ruhrauen nature reserve in Essen-Kettwig. From here, it is only a stone's throw to the surrounding cultural attractions, and trade fair visitors enjoy excellent connections to Düsseldorf, Cologne and Essen.
Historically, Essen-Kettwig is characterized by cloth making, silk weaving and the textile industry. The largest district of Essen in terms of area is located in the extreme southwest directly on the Ruhr and has retained its village-like and natural character. The picturesque old town with numerous half-timbered houses from the 17th to 19th centuries, narrow streets and historical buildings is particularly striking. The nearby Kettwig reservoir offers ideal conditions for water sports enthusiasts.

From Düsseldorf (A 52)
From the A52 motorway in the direction of Essen/Oberhausen, take the Rat.-Breitscheid exit and turn right towards Velbert (B 227). After 1.8 km, turn left at the roundabout (at the ESSO and BP petrol station) towards E-Kettwig. After 1.3 km, turn left towards E-Kettwig and after 3.3 km into the entrance to the hotel.
From Cologne or Oberhausen (A 3)
At the Breitscheid junction, merge in the direction of Essen, keep right and take the Rat.-Breitscheid exit. After 200 m, turn right at the traffic lights in the direction of Velbert (B 227). After 1.8 km, turn left at the roundabout (at the ESSO and BP petrol station) towards E-Kettwig. After 1.3 km, turn left towards E-Kettwig and after 3.3 km into the entrance to the hotel.
From Essen (A 52)
From the A52 motorway in the direction of Düsseldorf, take the Essen-Kettwig exit and turn right in the direction of E-Kettwig. Drive through the Kettwig district (in the direction of Düsseldorf) over the Ruhr bridge. At the end of the town, keep right at the roundabout in the direction of Düsseldorf. After 1.2 km, the entrance to the hotel is on the right.
