Murderous Auction
The heirs of Lady Leslie of Cornwall have invited guests to an auction. Valuable antiques and astonishing rarities are set to go ‘under the hammer’. The auctioneer has only just opened the proceedings when the first interruption occurs. An inspector from Scotland Yard bursts in, clutching a mysterious box. The nobility of Cornwall are ‘not amused’. What is the police doing in the house? The inspector opens the box – and an unprecedented scandal unfolds!
But that’s not all: a murder takes place right under the nose of the law. Now all hell has truly broken loose. Everything is thrown into disarray and everyone is under suspicion. Are Olivia, Doris and Lady Carry of Cornwall really willing to ‘walk over dead bodies’?
Scotland Yard is faced with a mystery, for the aristocratic family is anything but harmless.
